The Balayong People’s Park is a public park constructed by the City Government of Puerto Princesa. The park includes a tower view deck, interactive waterpark, recreational and children’s park, food complex, and artists’ pavilion, among other facilities. Balayong is a local flower in Palawan similar to cherry blossoms. Every March, the city celebrates the Balayong Festival which commemorates the founding anniversary of Puerto Princesa highlighted by Balayong tree planting, street dancing, and float parade.
