IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHEDRAL

In 1872, a Spanish expedition proclaimed the Immaculate Conception of Mary as the patroness of Puerto Princesa. It is also the year where the first mass was celebrated. Its angular structure, different from most churches in other parts of the country, provides visitors an interesting glimpse of unconventional religious edifice. Situated along the Rizal Avenue, the church seems to render a warm welcome greeting to incoming visitors taking the seaport passage.
